NEURO IMPULSE PROTOCOLâ„¢
A gentle, specific approach to chiropractic care.
Neuro Impulse Protocol™ (NIP) is a low-force chiropractic approach developed by Australian chiropractor Dr Neil Davies. The approach combines specific assessment procedures with gentle, precise chiropractic impulses and has a particular history within paediatric and family chiropractic care .
NIP provides a gentle, specific approach to assessment and chiropractic care, with particular emphasis on the relationship between the spine, movement and nervous-system function. My own clinical experience with NIP developed through a 2.5-year mentorship, alongside further paediatric education and clinical practice. As well as the attendance participation in the 2024 NIP Symposium in Croatia.Â
OTHER MODALITIES
Dry Needling
A technique involving the use of fine needles to target selected muscular and soft-tissue areas as part of an appropriate treatment plan.

A handheld percussion device may be used to provide targeted mechanical stimulation to selected muscles and soft tissues. It can be incorporated into treatment where appropriate to support muscular relaxation, circulation and preparation for movement.
Cupping
Cupping may be used as a supportive soft-tissue modality alongside other treatment approaches where appropriate.

Kinesio Taping
Percussion Therapy

Elastic therapeutic tape may be applied as a supportive measure to complement treatment and provide external support during movement and recovery.
SUPPORTIVE MEASURES
HOW IT ALL COMES TOGETHER
No single technique is the treatment.
Your treatment is determined by your individual presentation, history, goals and assessment. One person may require a specific chiropractic technique, while another may benefit from a combination of chiropractic care and soft-tissue modalities.
Treatment is therefore selected according to what is appropriate for you rather than following a fixed protocol.
