USE OF AI & DIGITAL TOOLS
Transparency in how we build and develop.
Dr. Sarlie Chiropractic may use artificial intelligence (AI) and other digital tools during the development and ongoing management of this website and its educational resources.

AI may be used as a supportive tool to assist with gathering and organising publicly available information, structuring and developing website content, exploring design concepts, generating visual concepts, reviewing and refining wording, and helping identify information that may be relevant to the practice's areas of interest.

AI does not independently determine the clinical philosophy, treatment approach, professional opinions or healthcare recommendations of Dr. Sarlie Chiropractic. Information, concepts and suggestions generated with the assistance of AI are reviewed, considered and approved by Dr. Raeesa Sarlie-Habib / Dr. Sarlie Chiropractic before being incorporated into the website or practice resources.

AI may also assist in developing educational resources where the information is considered potentially useful to patients. Such resources are subject to review and are intended to support, rather than replace, professional clinical judgement and individualised care.

The use of AI does not mean that AI is providing healthcare advice, diagnosing patients or making clinical decisions on behalf of Dr. Sarlie Chiropractic. The professional responsibility for the information, philosophy and clinical content presented by the practice remains with Dr. Sarlie Chiropractic.

AI is a tool used in the development process; it is not the source of the practice's clinical authority, professional judgement or philosophy.

Using this website
Website information
The information provided on this website is intended for general educational and informational purposes.

While we aim to provide useful and accurate information, health information may change and individual circumstances differ.
WEBSITE DISCLAIMER
General health information.
Information on this website is not intended to provide an individual diagnosis, treatment plan or personalised healthcare advice. Reading information on this website, downloading a resource or submitting a general enquiry does not replace an appropriate professional consultation. Where individual assessment or treatment is required, this should take place through an appropriate consultation with a registered healthcare professional.

Important: Do not rely on website information alone when dealing with a new, severe, worsening or concerning health problem. Seek appropriate professional care where necessary.

PATIENT RESOURCE DISCLAIMER
Patient Resources
The Patient Resources section provides general educational material relating to movement, rehabilitation, recovery, ergonomics, stress management and general health. Resources may include stretches, exercises, rehabilitation information, questionnaires, educational sheets and practical advice.

Important: These resources are intended for general educational purposes and are not a substitute for individual assessment, diagnosis or personalised healthcare advice. Exercises, stretches and rehabilitation suggestions may not be appropriate for every individual. If you have pain, an injury, a diagnosed condition or concerns about your health, seek appropriate professional advice before using any resource. Resources recommended to you by Dr. Sarlie Chiropractic should be considered within the context of your individual care and should not be shared or applied to another person as though it were personalised advice for them.

APPOINTMENTS
Appointment terms.
Website enquiries do not automatically constitute a confirmed appointment. An appointment is confirmed only once it has been accepted and confirmed by Dr. Sarlie Chiropractic or through the practice's designated booking system. Appointment availability, consultation fees, cancellation requirements and other booking conditions may apply.

Consultation fees:
Initial Consultation:Â R800 (1 hour)
Follow-up Consultation:Â R600 (30 minutes)
Saturday appointments:Â R600 + R200 applicable Saturday surcharge for unscheduled Saturdays

Cancellation policy:
Cancellations or requests to reschedule made within 24 hours incur a 50% cancellation fee. Within 12 hours, or in the case of a missed appointment/no-show, the full consultation fee applies. Cancellation fees are not credited towards future appointments and outstanding fees must be settled before future appointments can be booked. The practice reserves the right to exercise discretion in genuine emergencies or exceptional circumstances. Repeated late cancellations, rescheduling requests or missed appointments will result in the policy being enforced.

Late arrival policy:
Please arrive on time for your appointment. Late arrival may reduce the available consultation time, as appointments cannot be extended into the following patient's reserved time. If a patient arrives significantly late, the appointment may need to be shortened or rescheduled, with the applicable cancellation fee applied.

Payment policy:
Payment is due in full at the time of consultation, unless otherwise arranged in advance. Medical aid is not claimed directly by the practice. A claim invoice will be provided to the patient for submission to their medical aid, and reimbursement is subject to the patient’s individual medical aid plan and available benefits. Outstanding balances, including applicable cancellation fees, must be settled before future appointments can be booked.
